TEC shall leverage its status as a “Centre of Excellence” in Telecom to position India as a “Lead Telecom Knowledge and Manufacturing Hub” of Asia-Pacific Nations by driving Telecom Standards, Manufacturing Support and Network Building Skill sets in the interests of this region and market.
लक्ष्य
दूरसंचार अभियांत्रिकी केंद्र, भारत को, दूरसंचार क्षेत्र में ”उत्कृष्ट केंद्र” की छवि के आधार पर एशिया प्रशांत देशों के हित में, दूरसंचार मानक, विनिर्माण सहायता व नेटवर्क निर्माण कौशल को विकसित करते हुए इस क्षेत्र व व्यवसाय में ”अग्रिणी दूरसंचार ज्ञान एवं विनिर्माण केंद्र” के रूप में स्थापित करेगा।
Mission
- Develop new specifications and update the existing ones in order to keep pace with the global development.
- Establishment of state-of-art telecom laboratories.
- Active participation in professional bodies such as ITU, IETF, APT etc. to protect country’s interest.
- Technology approval for C-DoT in order to develop telecom technology aimed specifically for local manufacturer.

- वैश्विक विकास के साथ तालमेल बनाए रखने के लिए नए विनिर्देश विकसित करें और मौजूदा को अपडेट करें।
- अत्याधुनिक दूरसंचार प्रयोगशालाओं की स्थापना।
- देश के हितों की रक्षा के लिए आईटीयू, आईईटीएफ, एपीटी आदि जैसे पेशेवर निकायों में सक्रिय भागीदारी।
- विशेष रूप से स्थानीय निर्माता के लिए लक्षित दूरसंचार प्रौद्योगिकी विकसित करने के लिए सी-डॉट के लिए प्रौद्योगिकी अनुमोदन।
